Jofrog is Knitfrog!
September 11 2006
Last Christmas I had this great idea of crocheting little baskets to give out Christmas cookies in... I did one, and that was it!
I can wing a little (or big) round basket, but I'd really like to make a rectangular basket for some baby things. My question is logisical. Please, tell me if my thoughts make sense.
Rather than starting with a small ring and crocheting around (like the start of a hat), I would make a rectangle by doing rows back and forth. Once the base is big enough I would pick up around the edges and work in the round from there.
Will that work? Will the sides be too rounded? Do I have to do something special at the "corners" of the basket to make it be more square than oval or oblong?
Please, hookers, come out of the closet and give me some advice! Looking For a Hooker
