Jofrog is Knitfrog!

Monday, on my walk home, I found a baby bird on the sidewalk. Begging for food, not really moving, just waiting for help to arrive. The mothering instincts jumped in and next thing I knew I had a baby bird in a make-shift flower pot nest on my front porch. Years ago, in Vermont, my cousin and I found ourselves in a similar situation with a nestfull of baby birds. Unfortunately those didn't make it through their first cold night without their mother, but they taught me what to do with this one. It's now two full days later, the bird lasted through two nights, has been fed almost constantly during daylight hours, and took a little flight today! Internet research told me that he only had a 5-10% chance for survival, but this little guy has beaten the odds so far. Unfortunately I forgot my camera today, so you will have to use your imaginations to see this silly little thing and I'll do my best to keep you updated. So, is this what they mean by "nesting"?Nesting?
